Medical Containers
Each year we send roughly 20 x 40ft containers and/or 46ft curtain-siders overseas full of medical aid. These include hospital furniture and equipment such as hospital beds, trolleys, ultrasound scanners, ECG machines, etc; mobility aids including(wheel chairs, crutches, zimmer frames, raised toilet seats; medical disposables, such as dressings, syringes, theatre equipment, tracheal tubes, surgical gloves, dental care products, incontinence pads, etc. We are given large numbers of unwanted items like this from the NHS, private medical hospitals and clinics, manufacturers or individual patients. Many are short dated, no longer wanted or the packaging might be slightly damaged.
Medication
Sadly it is now illegal for us to accept or send medication abroad. If you have unwanted items, these need to be returned to your local chemist.

Ostomy Products
We also send large volumes of Colostomy supplies that are given to us by manufacturers and also from members of the public. These are the bags and devices patients use after they have had surgery on their bowels or bladders, leaving them with the need to collect their waste in a device attached to their bodies. In the UK these are provided by the NHS. In poorer countries the patient has to pay for them and often they are in very short supply, meaning that the price of these items is beyond most peoples’ reach. Without these bags the patients are effectively housebound and their life is very difficult. People often end up trying to tape old carrier bags to themselves to catch the waste – something that is smelly, ineffective and runs a great risk of infection.
We are very grateful to receive any donation of unwanted Ostomy products including pouches (even if they have been pre-cut) and accessories. We can also accept lotions, powders, gels and wipes – provided they are unopened.
You can either post them via the post office or using a courier such as www.parcel2go.com or www.evri.com who will come to your home and pick up the item from you.
